China Tour Packages Itinerary


Day 1: Arrival Beijing

Arrive at the Beijing International Airport and complete all immigration formalities. A WishClicknGo representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to your pre-booked hotel in Beijing for check-in and relaxation. You are free until evening to relax, enjoy the hotel facilities or explore the neighbourhood on your own. In the evening, enjoy your first dinner at an Indian Restaurant in China!

Day 2: Beijing

After breakfast, enjoy a Beijing sightseeing tour and visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden Kingdom and the Summer Palace. Located on the outskirts of the Forbidden City, the Tiananmen Square is one of the largest city squares in the world and the venue of processions, celebrations and events. It is also home to numerous attractions of Beijing including museums and galleries, the major ones being the National Museum of China, Great Hall of the People, Monument to the People’s Heroes and the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong.

The next stop is at the Forbidden City, the Imperial Palace complex that was home to as many as 24 Emperors of China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The biggest surviving ancient-architecture-complex in the world, the Forbidden City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the largest preserved wooden structures collection in the world. Enjoy a tour of the Forbidden City complex and visit the Palace Museum in the premises for a glimpse into the life, culture and traditions of the Chinese royalty.

In the afternoon, continue your Beijing tour to the Beijing Summer Palace, the Imperial Summer Residence of the Chinese royals. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and venue of some of the most exemplary Chinese garden architecture, the summer palace with its vast gardens, magnificent lake, boathouses and pavilions is a must-visit attraction in Beijing. After the tour ends, return to your hotel for the night after an Indian dinner at an Indian restaurant.

Day 3: Beijing

After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of attractions on the outskirts of Beijing city. A drive of 75km takes you to a Jade factory and then on to the Great Wall of China. Meandering through hills and valleys, past towns and cities, the Great Wall of China is 20,000 kilometres long, China’s greatest architectural landmark and one of the greatest military structures in the world of its time. During this tour, we will visit the Wall section at Juyong Pass, near Badaling, one of the most recently restored sections.

If we have enough time left, we will continue the tour to the Beijing Olympic Park, where you can see the outside view of the National Stadium– Bird’s Nest and National Aquatics Centre – Water Cube. Stop for a while and enjoy numerous photo opportunities – a remarkable contrast to your photos at the Great Wall of China – the old and the new! Later, return to hotel after enjoying a lavish dinner spread at an Indian Restaurant in Beijing.

Day 4: Beijing – Shanghai

After breakfast today, checkout from the hotel in Beijing and proceed to visit Liulichang, a traditional old quarters of Beijing and a flourishing cultural centre. Liulichang is now a famous district in downtown Beijing known for its traditional Chinese stone dwellings selling art and craftwork, and antiques.

Next, we visit Dashilan Street, one of Beijing’s most famous old-fashioned commercial streets with a history dating back 570 years. It was built in 1430, the 18th year of Emperor Yong Le’s rule during the Ming Dynasty. Recently renovated, this shopping street has wowed shoppers since many centuries and even today has some shops dating back to couple of centuries. Spanning 375 meters long, the street is home to 26 shops from nine types of trade.

Proceed to the airport to board your flight to Shanghai, the next destination on this China Tour package. On arrival, proceed to your pre-booked hotel in Shanghai for check-in; relax a while and then head straight for a sumptuous Indian dinner in an Indian restaurant at Shanghai.

Day 5: Shanghai

After breakfast, we will embark on a Shanghai sightseeing tour and visit attractions such as the Jade Buddha Temple, Yuyuan Garden and Nanjing Road. Our first stop is at the Jade Buddha Temple, a Buddhist Shrine and a working monastery initially built to house two jewelled white-jade-Buddha statues brought to China by a Buddhist monk Hui Gen from Burma. Both the white jade statues are carved from whole pieces of white jade; boast a translucent glow, solemn expressions and exquisite jewels; and are considered sacred Buddhist relics.

Next, we will visit Yuyuan Garden or the Garden of Contentment. With exquisite halls, pavilions, cloisters, courtyards and water features nestled within a dragon-back-shaped wall, the Yuyuan Garden is one of the most fascinating classical gardens in Shanghai. After a short stop at the garden and several photo-ops, continue on the Shanghai sightseeing tour to a Pearl Factory, and then on to Nanjing Road, China’s topmost shopping destination and one of the busiest shopping streets in the world. Enjoy a shopping extravaganza unlike any other with a choice of goods in swanky malls as well as traditional stalls.

Later, we will visit the Bund, a renowned waterfront district akin to an open-air museum of architectural masterpieces. Enjoy the view of the buildings alit in the twilight and watch the cruise ships ply by on the Huangpu River before returning to your hotel. Enjoy an Indian dinner in an Indian restaurant.

Overnight in Shanghai

Day 6: Shanghai – Zhujiajiao Water Village – Shanghai

After breakfast, enjoy a daytrip to Zhujiajiao, an ancient water town located on the outskirts of Shanghai. With a history of more than 1700 years, Zhujiajiao is well known throughout the country for its charming landscape, historical buildings including a Qing Dynasty Post office and attractions such as Fangsheng Bridge, Kezhi Garden and the Yuanjin Buddhist Temple. Endowed with another elegant name – ‘Pearl Stream’ – the little town is the best preserved among the four ancient towns in Shanghai.

After a wonderful daytrip to Zhujiajiao, enjoy the drive back to Shanghai; after an Indian dinner at Indian restaurant in Shanghai, return to your hotel for the night.

Day 7: Shanghai – India
